Who: Ivo Daalder, Former US Ambassador to NATO & Many Others
“Ivo Daalder, a former US ambassador to NATO who is now president of the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, said: ‘The idea [the UK] could have influence in the world outside the EU is risible. Its power and effectiveness is from being a strong leader in Europe.”(1)
THE CASE FOR A #FREEBRITAIN
"Membership of the EU doesn't give us a voice at the 'top tables' of international influence, it means the EU speaks FOR US there - with our requests diluted and altered by the requests of 27 other member states.
There are many 'top tables' - the UN, the World Trade Organisation, the UNECE, the Council of Europe to name a few. Once we are outside the EU we can speak for ourselves on these bodies and act independently, not as part of a bloc with a pre-agreed position."
